Institutional Research
The West Virginia Wesleyan College Office of Institutional Research assists the College in pursuit of its mission by coordinating and participating in the use of empirical analysis to anticipate problems and opportunities, facilitate problem solving, develop insights, and report on college performance.

Accreditation
West Virginia Wesleyan College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, an institutional accrediting agency authorized by the US Department of Education: The Higher Learning Commission, 230 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, Illinois 60604, (800) 621-7440, www.hlcommision.org.
The College is approved by the University Senate of The United Methodist Church.
The Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA) program is approved by the West Virginia Department of Education and National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (2010 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036; telephone 1-202-466-7496).
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). Wesleyan’s BSN program is fully approved by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Nurses, 90 MacCorkle Ave SW #203, South Charleston, WV 25303, telephone 304-744-0900. The Nurse-Midwifery program of Shenandoah University is accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (www.midwife.org/accreditation). Shenandoah’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education. Shenandoah University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-409, (404) 679-4500.
The Master of Athletic Training (MAT) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 2001 K Street NW, 3rd Floor North, Washington, DC 20006. Telephone 512-733-9700.
The College holds membership in the Appalachian College Association, the National Association of Schools and Colleges of The United Methodist Church, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and the Council of Independent Colleges.
Wesleyan’s athletic programs are affiliated with the Mountain East Conference (MEC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Division II.

Undergraduate Level Articulation Agreements:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science Major: The B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science major is a 3/4 program with West Virginia University for those students who would like to apply for Pharmacy School upon completion of Wesleyan requirements for the B.S. degree. For a student to be admitted into Wesleyan’s three-year recommended plans of study for the Pharmaceutical Science major, he or she must enter Wesleyan having met the following criteria:
– a minimum ACT Math score of 26 or SAT Math score of 600,
– a minimum ACT composite score of 27 or a SAT composite score of 1800,
– a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5.

By taking part in this program, a student can earn two degrees in a total of five years. One of these degrees is a B.A. in Physics from Wesleyan and the other is either an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Virginia, a B.S. in Engineering from West Virginia University, or a B.S. in Engineering from Marshall University. The Dual-Degree program enables students to start with a solid foundation for engineering with Wesleyan’s smaller classes and labs.

West Virginia Wesleyan offers two Advanced Practice Nursing Concentrations – Nurse-Midwifery and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through a collaboration with Shenandoah University.
Graduate Students will receive a Master of Science degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Graduate Certificate of Endorsement in Nurse-Midwifery or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Shenandoah University, making them eligible to take national certification examinations in their respective advanced practice specialty areas.Transfer Admission Articulation Agreements
